Chevy Silverado Owner Recommends Ralph’s Transmission
Miguel drives a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. His truck was jumping a little upon acceleration and he knew he was overdue for a transmission service. Miguel had heard good things about Ralph’s Transmission in Modesto, so he gave us a call and he brought his truck in for an inspection and maintenance. He also requested service for both his front and rear differentials.
“Ralph’s Transmission came highly recommended,” Miguel says in his Google review, “and after my own experience there, I will continue to recommend them as well.”
Several fault codes were revealed during diagnostic testing, but none relating to the transmission. A road test confirmed that the engine was jumping a bit. However, our technicians found that one of the engine mounts was broken and was clearly the cause for that issue the driver was experiencing.
Inspection of the transmission and rear differential found that the fluid level was full. The fluid was discolored, though, and Miguel was definitely overdue for maintenance services. The front differential was fine and did not require service at this time. Our team performed a standard transmission service, cleaning the transmission pan and replacing both the pan gasket and transmission filter. New transmission fluid was added. The rear differential was serviced, as well, to make sure its fluid and mechanics were all in optimal working order.
Our Service Advisor provided Miguel with a referral to a general auto repair shop to fix the broken engine mount, as well as look further into the other diagnostic fault codes relating to the fuel system and cruise control.
“They were Kind, Courteous and Professional in every aspect,” Miguel adds. “Thank you for your services.”
