Jeep Owner Gets Transmission Rebuilt at Ralph’s Transmission
James drives a 2010 Jeep Wrangler with over 120,000 miles on it. He recently began experiencing some transmission and drivetrain problems. The vehicle wasn’t shifting into reverse, the differential cover had broken bolts and the check engine light was on. At the same time, James was also considering some upgrades. He wanted to install a new transmission cooler. He turned to the local transmission repair specialists at Ralph’s Transmission for diagnosis and recommendations.
“This is a top-notch transmission shop,” James says. “Great customer service and professional technicians with outstanding turnaround time.”
Diagnostic testing revealed several fault codes. The initial inspection showed discolored transmission fluid, which is often a sign of internal issues. The road test confirmed the Jeep wouldn’t shift into reverse. A complete internal inspection was required to uncover the source(s) of the issues. The transmission was removed from the vehicle and disassembled so each internal component could be inspected.
Once it was opened up, multiple problems were found inside James’ transmission. The torque converter was failing, along with numerous other parts. The transmission needed to be rebuilt and restored back to the OEM specifications. The transmission cooler didn’t need to be replaced. A hot flush was recommended to remove all contaminants from the cooler.
“Mario and his crew took care of all issues with my transmission, and some issues I didn’t know about,” James adds. “They kept me informed the entire way of progress and price. If you’re not from Modesto, no worries they will send a transport to pick up your vehicle. Give you honest diagnosis and do the job with quality workmanship. I will definitely take future transmission issues to Ralphs Transmission.”
Ultimately, we were able completely rebuild James’ transmission and back it with our 3 Year, 100,000 Mile Warranty. We also took care of several other issues with the transmission cooler and differential. We got James and his trusty Jeep back on the road with everything running smoothly again.
