Dodge Truck Owner Impressed by Ralph’s Transmission Warranty

A selection of Ralph's technicians holding up various awards.Daryl drives a 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 and noticed that transmission fluid was leaking from under his truck. He took it to another local automotive shop for an inspection and repair quote, but he wanted a second opinion. So, he brought his truck into Ralph’s Transmission and was immediately stricken by the professionalism and cleanliness of our facility.

“Very professional shop,” Daryl says in his recent Google review. “Matter of fact, I haven’t ever seen a cleaner shop in my life. Bathroom was so clean, I was shocked for a shop. Staff was professional at front desk and was very informative on the rebuilding of my transmission.”

After our transmission technicians performed a thorough inspection, several internal issues were found. Multiple fault codes came up during diagnostic testing and the leak that the customer noticed was definitely significant. A full internal transmission inspection revealed a failing pump body with gears, as well as a burnt direct clutch, overdrive (OD) brake clutch and OD pressure plate. The torque converter also needed to be replaced with a number of other worn components.

The best recommendation was to fully rebuild the transmission. All healthy parts were professionally cleaned and reinstalled. All damaged components were replaced. The rebuilt transmission was reinstalled and carefully road tested to ensure it was running like new again. We perform all transmission rebuilds in-house at Ralph’s Transmission and back our services with our industry-leading 3 Year, 100,000 Mile Warranty.

“They called a kept me up dated on other things that needed fixed,” Daryl adds. “I got another bid from a very well known shop and the bids were with in a few bucks of each other. The other shop was dirty and did a very poor job on even diagnosing the problem. They offered me a 18,000 mile warranty or two months! Ralph’s gave me a 100,000 mile warranty or 3 years. No brainer! Hands down the best I felt about spending money on my truck. Great job guys!”

Daryl, we’re glad we were able to give you more peace of mind with our rebuild process and warranty program. Thank you for sharing your story.
