Ford Truck Owner Gets Transmission Repaired at Ralph’s Transmission

The Ralph's Transmission shop.Leonard drives a 2015 Ford F-150 with over 369,000 miles on it. He recently began experiencing transmission problems and assumed his transmission was failing. That would not be a surprise with a transmission that has this many miles, but we know many truck transmissions are built to last. Leonard brought his truck into Ralph’s Transmission for a proper transmission inspection. Our expert technicians would be able to tell him if it needed to be replaced or rebuilt, or if it was just a minor issue that needed to be fixed.

“This was my first experience with Ralphs Transmission,” Leonard says. “My F-150 with 369,000 miles had transmission issues, everyone thought the transmission was shot. However, after Mario’s team inspected everything, he found only minor problems. They fixed it and the truck runs like new.”

Leonard explained the problems he was experiencing. The truck was hesitating to engage in first gear after stopping. In addition, the truck was sluggish to accelerate and the current gear display wasn’t working on the dashboard. These were all pretty clear signs of transmission issues. Our initial inspection revealed some issues that needed to be addressed.

The primary problem was a failing lead frame. To repair this, the valve body had to be removed. The lead frame was replaced, along with a worn valve body cooler flow valve and bridge seal. The truck was also overdue for a standard transmission service, so we took care of the transmission fluid, filter and pan gasket while the other repairs were being completed.

Fortunately for Leonard, the damage wasn’t as bad as he feared. We were able to get his truck’s transmission repaired quickly and he was safely back on the road in just a couple days. At Ralph’s Transmission, we believe in providing honest advice. If the truck didn’t need major transmission repairs, we weren’t going to push any additional services on the customer. That’s simply not the way we do business.

“Mario at Ralph’s transmission is honest, communicates great and does a great job,” Leonard adds. “I would recommend them to everyone.”

Thank you for the wonderful review, Leonard. We are glad we were able to help you with your truck and save you from major repair costs.
