CUSTOMER COMES INTO RALPH’S TRANSMISSION FOR INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES
James recently purchased a 2012 Chevy Silverado. He wanted to make sure the transmission was in good shape, so he brought the truck into Ralph’s Transmission in Modesto for an inspection.
“Great service, nice friendly people,” says James in his online review. “I bought a used pickup truck and had it checked ant serviced by Ralph’s Transmission. I felt comfortable knowing it was inspected and checked.”
Once James’ truck was in our shop, our transmission technicians performed a detailed external inspection, road test and a complete evaluation of electronic controls. The diagnostic tests revealed no significant issues and the inspection came out relatively clean. The only two recommendations were for a standard transmission service and rear differential service. With a truck that’s several years old and had plenty of miles on it, the timing was ideal to get these maintenance services performed to make sure the transmission was running as well as possible for the customer.
A standard transmission service at Ralph’s Transmission includes replacement of the transmission fluid, transmission filter and transmission pan gasket. The fluid and filter change ensure the transmission fluid remains clean throughout the system and the new gasket helps prevent any fluid leaks that could lead to much bigger damage. This routine maintenance is important for improving the performance and longevity of your transmission.
Likewise, the rear differential service is good to keep the differential from slipping. We replace the gear oil and use a special limited slip additive to optimize the rear differential performance. Both of these maintenance services were backed by a 6 month, 6,000 mile service warranty from Ralph’s Transmission.
“I will use them in the future for transmission services,” concludes James.
Thank you to James for the feedback and we look forward to working with you in the future. For anyone needing transmission maintenance services or repairs, call Ralph’s Transmission today at 209.526.1909 or schedule a service appointment online.
