Chevy Silverado Owner Gets Transmission Rebuilt at Ralph’s Transmission
John and Sharon own a 2004 Chevy Silverado with over 145,000 miles on it. Needless to say, they love their truck and it has always been dependable. Recently, they were pulling a heavy trailer and noticing that the transmission was struggling. It was starting to overheat and the transmission temperature light came on. That is never a good sign, so they were smart to bring their truck to a Central Valley transmission repair specialist. They chose Ralph’s Transmission in Modesto because of our quality local reputation.
“Great service,” John says in his recent online review. “Very professional and personable. Easy to communicate with.”
Once John and Sharon’s Silverado was in the shop, the Ralph’s Transmission technicians ran diagnostic tests and performed a full internal inspection to determine the problem. They did find that the transmission fluid was old an burnt, so it was definitely overdue for service. However, the main problem was the rear stator support bushing. This is a common transmission problem, and unfortunately the failed part led to significant internal damage inside the truck’s transmission system.
The recommendation was to perform a full custom transmission rebuild to replace all damaged parts and refurbish the transmission so it ran like new again. After the transmission was reinstalled, it was road tested and given the stamp of approval by the Ralph’s Transmission repair team. That’s what allows us to offer a 3 Year, 100,000 Mile Warranty on all transmission rebuilds completed at our shop.
“Appreciate the 3 year 100,000 mile warranty,” adds John. “That should tell you everything you need to know. Other places we checked only offered a one year warranty for a rebuilt transmission. They seriously went above and beyond.”
Thank you, John, for putting your trust in Ralph’s Transmission and just remember you have that warranty in case there are ever any complications with your good-as-new transmission that will help your truck get well over the 200,000-mile mark!
