RALPH’S TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED SINCE 1969

We take great pride in our history at Ralph’s Transmission, even though things are a lot different around the shop now. When the original Ralph opened the shop on 9th Street back in 1969, it was always meant to be a small, family-run shop serving the local community of Modesto and the surrounding Central Valley areas. That commitment hasn’t changed. We are still family owned and operated. And, Ralph’s Transmission is still focused on the local community.

Longtime transmission repair industry veterans, Mario & Maria Jauregui purchased the shop in 2015. By then, the old building was getting quite run down and just about everything at Ralph’s Transmission was due for a major upgrade. The Jauregui family invested a lot of time and money into renovating the shop, installing all new lifts and cutting-edge transmission repair equipment, and hiring a talented staff of transmission technicians, diagnosticians, R&R specialists and transmission rebuild experts. Just take a look inside our repair facility today and you’ll see just how much has changed for the better in the past couple years.

“Our goal was to continue the friendly, hometown spirit of Ralph’s Transmission while modernizing the approach to service and providing the best possible transmission repair capabilities around the Central Valley,” Mario says. 

Mario & Maria are both Central Valley natives with very strong ties to the Modesto community. They have lived here for many years. It’s where they’ve raised their six children together. It’s always been a dream of theirs to own a shop in town, so Ralph’s Transmission represents the culmination of that goal.
