RALPH’S TRANSMISSION HOLDS CVT TRAINING EVENT AT MODESTO SHOP
At Ralph’s Transmission, we put an emphasis on training. From time to time, we’ll bring in people from the transmission industry to train our mechanics. Most of the time, we open up the sessions to anyone else who wants to attend from other Central Valley transmission repair shops.
This past weekend, we had a great CVT (continuously variable transmission) training seminar in our downtown Modesto shop. Robert Bateman from Seal Aftermarket Products was there all day Saturday providing a hands-on demonstration on two different CVT transmissions (JF011E and JF015E models). “His presentation was impressive,” says Mario Jauregui, owner of Ralph’s Transmission. “I know I learned a lot and so did everyone who attended.”
Robert walked the group through two CVT rebuilds, from tear down to inspection to reassembly. He demonstrated a special bearing removal tool ideal needed for CVT disassembly, along with other Seal Aftermarket Products we can use to rebuild transmissions. After the walkthroughs, Robert answered questions and the group had a great discussion about different CVT issues and solutions.
In addition to this training provided by Seal Aftermarket Parts, Randall Schroeder from Sonnax was also at Ralph’s Transmission Friday and Saturday providing some additional hands-on training to the technicians. He was demonstrating how to perform vacuum tests on valve bodies and other transmission parts. He participated in Saturday’s seminar, as well, providing his wonderful insight and hands-on help for anyone who had questions about vacuum testing and Sonnax’s specialized transmission parts.
We were proud to host this training for free along with co-sponsors Seal Aftermarket Products, NATPRO, Sonnax and Cowboys Hard Parts.
We look forward to hosting more great training seminars at the Ralph’s Transmission shop as the year goes on. Training is very important to us because it enables us to stay on top of our games and continue to provide the highest standards of transmission repair, rebuilding and maintenance services around.
