RALPH’S TRANSMISSION CREW GETS THE MOST OUT OF ATRA’S 2016 POWERTRAIN EXPO
This past week, members from the Ralph’s Transmission team attended the annual ATRA Powertrain Expo at the Paris Las Vegas Resort. It was held October 27 – 30 and hosted by ATRA (Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association). The conference brought together many transmission shop owners, diagnosticians, R&R specialists, mechanics, manufacturers and other industry leaders. It was a great week of networking and learning.
Ralph’s Transmission sent a number of representatives to this year’s Powertrain Expo. Owners Mario & Maria Jauregui were joined by Service Advisor, Yvette Ramirez, Lead Diagnostician, Tod Chretien, and Transmission Rebuilder, Meng Moeun. They each attended multiple seminar presentations on a variety of different subjects relating to the transmission service industry. The training seminars touch on topics geared toward both managers and technicians.
There was also a large trade show Friday and Saturday afternoons, featuring many different vendors and manufacturers showing off the latest products and services available to shop owners. It was a great chance for Mario and his team to make some new connections and look for ways to improve the already exceptional transmission repair and rebuild services provided at Ralph’s Transmission.
“We attend the Powertrain Expo every year and we already have our calendars marked for October 19- 22 next year,” Mario says. “It’s an event we always look forward to as a way to benefit our shop and the people we serve. And, of course, it’s a great excuse to get out of the shop and spend a few fun days in Vegas!”
If you are in the transmission industry, the ATRA Powertrain Expo is a must-attend event. If you did attend this year, hopefully you had a chance to meet Mario and his Ralph’s Transmission crew. They always welcome new information from manufacturers, networking with other shop owners throughout the country and talking to transmission specialists who may be looking for a job at Ralph’s Transmission in Downtown Modesto.
