Customer Appreciates Friendly Service and Warranty at Ralph’s Transmission
Jenna and Ronnie drive a 2017 Chevy Silverado. They noticed the truck was making a clunking noise when shifting between 1st and 2nd gears. The vehicle would also start to shudder when moving around 30-40 MPH. They brought their truck into Ralph’s Transmission in Modesto for a free transmission inspection and diagnostic testing.
No fault codes were found during diagnostic testing, but the road test confirmed the issues the customers were describing. Inspection of the fluid pan found the transmission fluid was very burnt, indicating internal problems. After removing the transmission and performing a full internal inspection, our technicians found a damaged torque converter and a variety of other problems. Our recommendation was a full custom transmission rebuild to replace all damaged components and make sure the transmission was running like new again.
“Such an amazing experience!” Jenna says. “Our truck was diagnosed on Wednesday and ready on Friday! Yvette and Bri were both so helpful and thorough with explaining everything. It gave us so much peace of mind going with Ralph’s.”
Our service team provided Jenna and Ronnie with the full inspection report and our repair recommendations, breaking the prices for all replacement parts, rebuild labor and our warranty coverage. Ultimately, they agreed the transmission rebuild was their best long-term solution to minimize the risk of future problems.
“I understand that a transmission is going to be expensive but having that 3 year 10,000 mile warranty makes it all worth it to know they will stand behind their work,” Jenna adds. “We will continue to go to Ralph’s and recommend them to all of our friends and family.”
Thank you, Jenna, for your feedback and for putting your trust in the team at Ralph’s Transmission. Just remember your warranty if you do experience any other transmission issues.
