RALPH’S TRANSMISSION REBUILDS CHRYSLER TRANSMISSION FOR HAPPY CUSTOMER

Mike knew something was wrong with his 2005 Chrysler 300. The car wasn’t driving right when put into reverse, the airbag lights would come on randomly, and sometimes the vehicle wouldn’t shift out of park at all. After doing his research, Mike decided to bring his Chrysler into Ralph’s Transmission in Modesto for an inspection and repairs.

First, we ran diagnostic tests and the only fault code that came up was the faulty airbag control, and our repair technicians were able to fix and reset that pretty easily at no additional charge. An external inspection of the transmission and brakes revealed no clear problems, so the next step was to remove the transmission from the car and perform a full internal inspection. Ultimately, we found there was a damaged clock spring and a broken snap ring.

The snap ring is a small part, but it performs a very important function. It keeps the countershaft secure within the transmission. When it broke, it led to more significant problems within the transmission. The only recommendation from there was to do a full custom transmission rebuild. In this process, we essentially rebuild the transmission from scratch so that it is running like new again. All rebuilt transmissions at Ralph’s Transmission are backed by our industry-leading 3 Year, 100,000 Mile Warranty.

“I’m very happy I decided to have my transmission repair work done at Ralph’s Transmission,” says Mike. “They have knowledge, exceptional vehicle service, outstanding customer service and communication with updates on the repair process. It’s nice when you talk with the front counter ladies that are happy, smile and want to make sure you are taken care of.”

About 10 months after his transmission rebuild, Mike noticed some transmission fluid was leaking. He had no worries, though, because of the warranty. He brought the car back in and we checked it out. Our technicians found that a couple of the pump bolts had become a little loose, so everything was tightened up. The vehicle was road tested and everything was back to normal. Mike knows that he can always bring his Chrysler to Ralph’s Transmission and any transmission repairs will be covered by our warranty program.

“They honor and stand by their warranty workmanship,” Mike adds. “This is a top notch company and I will recommend anyone I know to to there!!”
