Dodge Ram Owner Gets Line Pressure Sensor Replaced at Ralph’s Transmission

Desiree owns a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 with over 180,000 miles on it. She’s been able to enjoy the dependability of her truck because she’s been good about getting routine maintenance done and repairs performed as needed. Recently, Desiree noticed that the transmission began to slip. It would happen when the truck was at a stop or when driving around 40 MPH. She decided to take it to a local transmission expert for a proper diagnostics and repairs, so she turned to Modesto’s own Ralph’s Transmission.

“This place was AWESOME!!!” Desiree says in her recent Yelp review. “I would highly recommend it to anyone. The staff was incredibly pleasant and knowledgeable. They created me like I was their only customer. Like I was family!”

Once Desiree’s truck was in our shop, the Ralph’s Transmission technicians were able to run diagnostic tests and perform a detailed inspection. It was determined that the source of the problem was a faulty line pressure sensor. A line pressure sensor (also known as a transmission oil pressure switch) monitors the hydraulic fluid pressure to detect any clogs, line damage or decreases in pressure. In Desiree’s case, the line pressure sensor had failed. It needed to be replaced. A standard transmission service was also recommended to replace the transmission fluid, filter and pan gasket.

“They were very thorough and explained everything they were doing and what the findings were,” Desiree adds. “They also let you know how much the cost for everything out the door including the tax will be, and their prices are good and fair. Their work is impeccable and timely. Thank you so much!”

Thank you, Desiree, for sharing your feedback and putting your trust in Ralph’s Transmission to help with your transmission service and line pressure sensor repairs. We’re here to help any time you need us.
