CUSTOMER VISITS RALPH’S TRANSMISSION WHEN TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL IS DANGEROUSLY LOW

Jacques was driving through the Central Valley while on a vacation. Unfortunately, he noticed his Ford F-250 was acting funny and not running right. He checked the fluid levels and found that his transmission fluid reservoir was almost empty. Obviously concerned, he sought out the help of a local transmission shop. He visited Ralph’s Transmission in Modesto and was glad he came to the right place.

When he found out how low his transmission fluid was, Jacques was wise to bring his truck into a transmission specialist. The technicians at Ralph’s Transmission took a look and discovered the transmission fluid was at least three quarts low. It was also very discolored. We couldn’t even perform a road test because it was so dangerous to drive in this condition. Clearly there was more than just a simple leak going on and it required a more in-depth internal inspection.

It was an older truck and the transmission just had a lot of natural wear and tear. The main problems were the pump bushing, rear seal and front engine seal. The leak was quite severe and even more damage to the transmission was discovered once we had it opened up. There was no choice but to recommend a full custom transmission rebuild.
