RALPH’S TRANSMISSION EMPLOYEE PROFILE – TOD CHRETIEN

From time to time, we’ll be posting profiles of Ralph’s Transmission employees. We want our customers to know the people who are serving them and taking care of their important transmission repair and rebuild needs.

Tod Chretien is the Head Diagnostician at Ralph’s Transmission. His working relationship with the shop’s owner, Mario Jauregui, goes back many years. “He was a crucial part of my team at a previous transmission shop,” Mario says. “So when we bought Ralph’s Transmission, Tod was the first one we called to head up the diagnostics here. His expertise is second-to-none.”

Tod is a true veteran in the transmission industry and he’s proud to bring his experience to Ralph’s. For 25 years, he worked at a Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep dealership. He is Powertrain Master Certified, Chassis Master Certified and Electrical Master Certified with Chrysler. In addition, Tod holds his ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Master Tech Certification.

Tod is originally from Palo Alto, but he has lived in Modesto since 2000. He loves being able to work at a shop so close to home, which allows him to spend more time with his wife and two daughters. In his free time, Tod enjoys many different outdoor activities. Some of his favorite hobbies include hiking, fishing, camping, snow skiing and boating.

When it comes to the transmission industry, Tod is very active. He founded TRNW (Transmission Rebuilders Network Worldwide), which is a great network of transmission specialists that spans the entire globe. What makes Tod such a natural at diagnostics is his understanding of technology. He has built many websites from the ground up and also developed the cloud-based customer management software that is used at Ralph’s Transmission every day. In fact, Tod and Mario are working on a new version of the software called Easy Shop Manager that they plan to release for purchase later this year.
