RALPH’S TRANSMISSION EMPLOYEE PROFILE – JAVIER CAMPOS

Javier Campos started at Ralph’s Transmission in December of 2016. He is a transmission rebuild specialist, which is a vital role in our repair shop. We rebuild all transmissions in-house and back them with our 3 Year, 100,000 Mile Warranty. Javier has been a mechanic for over 20 years, and began specializing in transmissions about five years ago. He has an eye for detail and a desire to make transmissions run perfectly again, which is why he is ideally suited for his position at Ralph’s. “I believe in doing things right the first time,” Javier says. “It eliminates further problems and keeps our customers from worrying about having future transmission issues.”

After growing up in Mexico, Javier moved to Southern California when he was 20 years old. That’s where he got his start in the automotive repair industry. In 2004, he moved to the Central Valley and honed his skills as a transmission specialist. At Ralph’s, Javier is responsible for dismantling damaged transmissions and then custom rebuilding them from the ground up. Every component needs to be inspected thoroughly. Good parts are cleaned and reinstalled, while faulty parts are replaced. When all the work is done, the transmission is as good as new and it can be installed back into the vehicle for a final diagnostic check and road test.

When asked what he likes about working with the Ralph’s Transmission team, Javier replied: “I like that everything is organized. It’s good to work for a shop where everyone knows what’s going on and each person is devoted to completing their tasks.”

In his free time, Javier enjoys riding dirt bikes and spending quality time with his family. He has been married to his wife for 12 years and they have three children together.
