DODGE RAM OWNER GETS TRANSMISSION AND REAR DIFFERENTIAL SERVICED AT RALPH’S TRANSMISSION

Another auto repair shop had told Ted that his rear differential had some fluid issues, but he wanted a second opinion from a drivetrain expert. He also knew he was due for a transmission service, so he decided to bring his 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 into Ralph’s Transmission.

“I was impressed by the polite staff,” Ted says in his online review. “The owner [Mario Jauregui] came up to the desk and explained what services his staff would be doing. They were able to get my truck in the next day and had my truck completed in 6 hours.”

After the transmission technicians at Ralph’s Transmission inspected the vehicle and ran diagnostic tests, it was confirmed that the rear differential definitely had some fluid issues. There was some water intrusion and that was causing the problems. Thankfully, it was detected before any major damage was done to the differential assembly. We performed a standard rear differential service, replaced the gear oil and made sure the leak was properly sealed with differential RTV silicone.

In addition, Ralph’s Transmission performed a standard transmission service, which was recommended after the inspection revealed that the transmission fluid was discolored. The transmission fluid, filter and pan gasket were replaced after the transmission pan was cleaned. This is a necessary service that every vehicle requires every 30,000 – 60,000 miles (depending on the make, model and total mileage).

“The truck has never run better,” concludes Ted. “Thank you Ralph’s Transmission.”

Thank you, Ted, for sharing your feedback and we appreciate your business.
